SITE MODELLING

1:100 model showing passage of sounds through the section

1:500 model showing origins of sounds on the 500m long section. The red string represents noises lower to the ground (up to 3m) like trains, people, cars, birds and animals on the ground) and the black string represents noises that are heard more from overhead or from afar (in this site those noises were distant trains, sirens and echoing sounds from the tall cranes in the dockyard, planes, and birds).

Ground models pieced together to map out the triangular site.

exercise - augmenting reality. DesignBoom artist augments existing landscapes using drawing. We did this a few times showing the addition of our design into the chosen landscape.
